  1. solid show. got there early and was happy to find a little perch above the crowd for my video camera. soundcheck had a full band complete version of valentine, which sounded great. so did the alternate arrangement of ghosts of hallelujah...neither one of which made it into the big show. sorry I didn't tape them. highlights for me were jimmy swinging from the rafters during a tune early in the set, a jamming high highs, nefertari (which I've never seen live), an old school .... & moan, and then a very strong finish to the show beginning with lowlands. also, when they muffed the end of labor they just kept playing and worked a dylan song in there seamlessly. it was just that kind of night.

  3. yes, peter, you missed rugged roses...but you saw some good sh*t, no? p.s. for some reason the computer edited the word "piss" out of my initial greenville set list & comment. must be a regional thing, b/c richmond is allowing it tonight.
