since this was at ACL, any chance we'll be seeing it on pbs anytime soon?
ReplyDeletepeople who were there said it was an audio taping only...and I've also heard that it will eventually air as a special on KUT (which streams live on the internet if you don't live in A-town).
ReplyDeleteDuring "All in the Pack" they threw in some riffs from the Meters' "Cissy Strut" for good measure... As for the question about it being recording it was but is only an audio recording for KUT's Live Series. Check out the link below to audio of Hayes Carll from last years KUT Live concert.

thanks, jonathan. I just did a quick search and during the past year they've played both tunes together inside 'all in the pack' a total of 5 times, with 'cissy strut' preceding 'I fought the law' 4 of those 5 times...so the question is, do you remember how it went down the other night? which came first? thanks. p.s. I'm gonna go check out the hayes carll link now. thanks again.
ReplyDeleteLove me some Variety Hour whether the Tiny's variety or the Chinese variety.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, where the hell is that Matt Cook fellow and his little brother, Junior Mint?
Matt's gone to Kansas City. He has a baby boy named Wyatt and a new band called The Hot Dog Skeletons. His brother recently had sex with Fred Schneider from the B-52s.
