  1. As the man who introduced the band put it this was a continuation of the show we played here last year. Indeed it was as if we had never stopped playing last summer and woke up a year
later in mid-stride. This place is on par with Portland, Missoula, Atlanta, Bay Area and DC for Gourdlove. A cross between Alex City and Country Fair. High point for me from a sawtooth of a show was the Amazing Grace at the end we dedicated to Beau Bergdahl (sp?) who is a recent prisoner of war in the Afghan front and Kit Nerras, a longtime festival organizer who died the day before. They had a shrine to him backstage. The whole crowd sang the song in such a gentle whispered tone it brought a tear to
    my eye. Beautiful, just beautiful.

  2. Awesome show, awesome crowd, awesome PA. Guys signed stuff at the merch table after the show. I had a crazy digital mixing board I had never used and was pretty much glued to it making it happen, so I didn't really get a chance to see if anyone was taping, but I know the festival did. I don't know what they do with that though. No board feed from me to anyone, so if someone did it's audience. Even so, if someone did I'd love to hear it, it was one of the most sonically awesome shows I've ever mixed.
