  1. A woman asked me the meaning of our luddite juice koozies after the show. So there I was defining the word Luddite to a girl in a bar in Ft. Worth. It made me anxious and frustrated when she interupted my class to hug her girlfriends. Upon finishing my history of the Luddites she looked at me blankly and said, "Ok." Reportedly we missed a fight outside wherein a man was beaten up by his girlfriend. Shinyribs opened the show.

  2. Awesome review.

I had a similar thing happen to me wherein I nearly missed a Gourds show. My truck (along with the tickets) got towed near UT one winter night just an hour before a Gourds show at the Mercury Lounge. The bastards took the truck all the way up past Pflugerville. Had to find a taxi, drive all the way to this god-forsaken place, pay some crazy ass fee and then haul ass back to 6th street. And, let me tell you, it was well worth it. I only missed two songs.

Please tell me this show was taped. I HAVE to get a hold of the Michael Jackson cover.

  3. Responding to Metal Clay Supply: To the best of my knowledge, the Fort Worth show was not taped. I am certain, however, that the Michael Jackson cover WAS taped the night before at Gruene Hall. That recording will surface at some point, and I'll be sure to add it to the set list for that show.
