***A text message to the Gourds from The Tinys Matt Cook reported that Bruce Springsteen had HWYS playing over the house speakers at Bonnaroo just before he took the stage Saturday night

Note: Technical problems with the mandolin after El Paso delayed the appearance of Magnolia, originally slated to be the 9th song. New Dues and Luddite Juice were played while the problem was fixed, which ultimately bumped Plaid Coat and All in the Pack from the set (originally planned to follow Lower 48).

  1. ...straight g&j, though kevin did sing the line "gonna fly like an eagle, or the crimson tide, whatever that is" in reference to the auburn eagles and the crimson tide college football teams, then he said that we didn't bring any merch, but we brought a truckload of textbooks, then "later on that day". I gotta say, one of the better g&j's I've heard, good short jams, lean and mean.
